Pathshala Message
The Jain Sangh
Pathshala of Cherry Hill (PA, NJ, and DE) has grown in many
ways. Not only has the number of
kids increased but also there
has been an improvement in teaching methods. We have had an interactive
program
with a PETA speaker (People for the Ethical
Treatment of animals) that has informed kids and adults the
importance of vegetarianism and compassion to all living beings. Visiting
other temples during annual picnics has
given kids an
opportunity to observe certain steps (Das Trik) that should be
followed in Jain temples. Our
pathshala will continue to
progress and initiate new ways of imparting knowledge on
Jainism.

Registration fee for Pathshala
17th May to 15th June 2008: $15 per student
From 16th June 2008 onwards: $20 per student

We are expecting about 55 people. They would also like to see our Pathshala in progress. |

New Building Opening Ceremony and Pathshala Program - Dec
2006
The Jain Sangh of Cherry Hill (PA,NJ, and DE) had undertaken
a major temple expansion project to facilitate bigger
scale
temple functions, to accommodate large number of people for Swamivatsalya
with onsite cooking facility, to
include a huge hall with
stage for temple/pathshala presentations and pathshala classrooms. Our
members can
relate to the remarkable moment that they had
experienced during Vastu Poojan and while watching the
talented
Pathshala kids on the stage giving
their best performance in the honor of all the committed individuals who
had
worked with diligence in the creation of the new
building.

Pathshala Food Sign Up
As lunch is served after each Pathshala class,
we need parents to volunteer and help out in providing lunch for
kids, teachers, and parents for the 3rd Sunday of the
month only. The 1st Sunday is provided by the
Sangh.
Groups of (4) parents can come
together and provide lunch. Bhavnaben Thosani and Ritaben Vora will
be
present on September 23rd, 2007 so please
sign up.
